A Whitebeard Pirates Shipping Zine

With our applications closed, we have an announcement for the future of this zine. Unfortunately, the number of applicants for all available positions wasn't enough to fill all slots we had in mind so with a heavy heart, we've decided to not move forward with this project. Based on the number, it doesn't seem there's enough interest for this subject at the moment and we don't want to take up space in the already saturated zine market. We might revisit this project in the future, should interest pick up, but at the moment we feel it's best for us to step back before any work and time is invested into production. We'd like to thank all applicants for taking the time to apply: your works are amazing and we hope to see more of them for our favorite Whitebeard Pirates regardless of our zine.

About/FAQ

How many pieces are we required to do if we get accepted? This is subject to the results of our Interest Check so detailed information about the requirement if accepted will be available once we close the Interest Check form. Rest assured that we will be mindful of the creation time and keep the requirements doable within that time frame to ensure our contributors can finish everything without stress.-Does it cost money to participate? Not at all! You just need to apply and, if accepted, finish your art or story within the given time frame and technical requirements.
-
Is the zine digital or physical?
The zine will be DIGITAL only!
-
How much will the zine cost?
Free!
-
Is there an age restriction on applications?
Due to the potential of NSFW content in this project, we will require that all contributors are 18+.
-
Can I apply for more than one role?
You can apply for as many roles as you’d like! However, the number of roles you can be accepted for is limited.
-
Are all ships allowed?
Our main focus are ships (pairs or poly relationships) that include at least one Whitebeard Pirate or Commander, to fit into the main subject of this zine. Which other groups of characters the Whitebeard Pirates will be shipped with will be determined by the Interest Check (with the options being their allied crews, Marines, other un-allied pirate crews, or civilians). However, based on current feedback, the project will not include content with Ace x Luffy, Ace x Sabo, Whitebeard x any of his commanders, or any OC or self-insert content. Our mod team believes in “ship and let ship”, but the comfort of all our contributors comes first so we decided to put some limitations on the content we’re aiming for. Despite this limitation, we will not allow nor tolerate any form of ship hate or harassment in the project. Our focus remains entirely on positivity, fun, and content created for our project or submitted for applications based on this limitation. Anything created outside of that by any of our potential contributors will not factor into our decision making.
-
If there is a NSFW digital add-on, do all contributors have to participate?
Not at all! If there is interest for the digital add-on to explore more explicit themes and we choose to proceed with this, it will be entirely on a volunteer basis for anyone who has time to create more. The requirements for this would be different so it would be a chance for everyone to delve a bit deeper into these relationships with slightly fewer space constraints.
-
Will alternate universe settings be allowed?
This will depend on the results of our Interest Check so stay tuned! For now, canon-verse and canon-divergence is a sure thing so any fix-it fics you might have in mind will have a place in the project.
